Hi and welcome from Oregon to you also NorCalElio. You have been at it a little longer than me. I got mine today also. I hope you enjoy this forum. It is a great group and there is a lot to learn as we journey toward Elio production and ownership. :) Z
OMG, I was so tired when I responded to NorCalElio I didn't realize the significance of his number! #6800 That has to be a lucky number. LOL :-) Z

And those that count their chickens before they hatch could be in for a surprise. After all this isn't the 40 and 50's when a person's word was his bond.
Everything in today's life could be a gamble.
But it's only money and most of us have wasted more than that on other items we don't need.

Yours, was the BIGGEST shock to me. Seeing YOU say it's only money and you went "all in" I almost fell out my chair. :D

When I told my father-in-law about this "purchase" he said it could turn out to be one of the best planned Ponzi schemes ever.

Interesting. What was your reaction and what did you say?

I think it's funny that most people think any scam is a Ponzi scheme. A Ponzi scheme is a fraud where "the payment of quick returns [go] to the first investors from money invested by later investors." There's no investors that are getting quick returns. In fact no investors are getting any returns. I've even seen an argument from some, that we reservation-holders are not really an example of investors.

So if this was a scam, other than the idea that reservation holders are not investors, and early reservation-holders have been waiting for a few years and have nothing received in return, and no reservation holders are getting anything until the product is ready.... sure, it's a perfect Ponzi scheme. lol
