I guess I was disappointed when the $$ news came out but really, if all of us expected smooth sailing because the Ecar is such a fabulous product (it is),or because Paul E and crew is doing all they can to make it a success (so far as can be told, they are) it was really living in an unreal world that was upset by the real world intruding. The reaction of some was pretty startling to me, like some one had broken a blood pact of some sort and sold their families to the Huns for some unthinkable use. It was and is a risky endeavor, we all knew it going in (or should have), it was voluntary, it was and is an adventure and it may make a difference to the world. That's the kind of thing they write books about. We are part of the story, whether the end of the story ends in success or not. Cool, I wonder who they will choose to play me in the screenplay...

Yup, one in the same. It's taking a little historic/literary license to illustrate a point. Certainly not our German friends, that's just tacky and dated. Oh, wait, I guess Attila's a little old to, eh?
Not to worry about our German friends,he was from way east- think Russia, Huns were "tribes" that got connected and ran amuck-

That sounds about right but some actually think even further east and his army was a motley confederation of Eurasian tribes that he held together with the promise of plunder and other goodies. Neither of which the Romans or Byzantines were very happy with!

Yes it is a test and run stand. Typically the dyno is connected to the out put shaft from the crank to a drive or hydraulic pump. But notice in the front of the engine. There is a hydraulic pump connected to the pulley. This is the "out put shaft" from the front rather than the crank that goes to the transmission. This appears to be the pump that will go to the dyno test stand to load the engine. under the sheets could be the test instrumentation. Go on the internet and do a search for dyno test stands and you will see many different setups based on the engine size and test requirements. Also notice it is bolted to the floor. The test instrumentation must be under the sheets and moveable.
Good observations, Thanks!

Succinct. Would have left out the dash, but there it is.............;)

Yeah, I kinda got up a head of steam there Kuda and just didn't know when to quit. Still, people seem awfully willing to cheer Paul's optimism when something great happens - like where we are now - and boo him in a most unflattering fashion when it doesn't.
