Wow. I was hoping they'd hit 40,000 by my birthday (tomorrow, btw). It looks like they will (or did). I won't be able to tell for 100% sure but I'm calling it a done deal. There. 40,000+ on my birthday. Done. It has been said. So say we all! So say we all!

This is starting to feel like that day, last September I believe, where they stopped with the 50% bonus. A bunch of people were glued to their computers expecting something big to happen. Nothing did...

Yes, it will be interesting to see if there's any engine announcement linked to the the 40,000 reservation milestone.

If they get 40K by the end of March they will be lucky.
Only ones signing up now are the ones that don't know about all the delays.

Yes, but those signing up now, will shortly hear the NY Auto Show, the engine is built (and running?), and expected deliveries starting next year- much better info and progress than the first 39,999!!

Yeah. I hope so. Who knows... it isn't IMPOSSIBLE to think this time next year we could be driving our Elios. Yeah, I know, they've delayed production but nothing has been done that prevents them from starting early... Come on, it's almost my birthday... let me have this one delusion for a day or two.
