I'd change the sun visor from the normal upholstered one to a tinted version with wings that could swing to either side. When I sat in it I thought if one stopped too close to a stoplight with the visor down, it would be hard to see the light change. Just my opinion and this is a modification that is on my to do list.

I guess I'm too tall but I've never used the visor to block my view forward. To the side, yeah, but not the front. I know shorter people have to use them forward but I thought they'd just swing them up out of the way.

I think a small "suicide door" on the left would be best if this was to change.

Exactly! Why the hell have it on the right side? That will just be one dumb looking small door. Keep it on the left (driver's door) side and it will look better and actually give you more access.

Okay... I've had the suicide door setup. I didn't like it. It was much better having a separate door back there. However, in a smaller coup like the Elio or Mazda RX8, the small suicide door makes more sense. So, yeah, a suicide door would surely be better than crawling in back there. For me though, I'm not planning on hauling people back there except very rarely. A door might make it easier to get things out of there but I'm not sure how much that would be worth to me.

Maybe Elio 2.0 will be stretched a few inches and have a second door there.

I believe they already said the seat belt would be over the right shoulder.

MY WIFE HAS A PACEMAKER AND COMPLAINS ABOUT THE CONVENTIONAL
PLACEMENT OF THE DRIVER's SEAT BELT ON THE LEFT .

I DON'T THINK THAT ELIO HAD THIS IN MIND BUT I KNOW THE PACEMAKER
PEOPLE ARE SAYING , IT's ABOUT TIME .

I can appreciate how she feels. Mine was put in in 2003. (I'm on my second one now.)
I found a gadget in JC Whitney that stops the retractor from tightening up all the way.
Makes the seat belt messy, but doesn't constantly apply pressure to the pacemaker.
