And to let anyone see what you have in your trunk:eek:

two shopping bags,? or one medium pizza.? or a pair of shoes,? perhaps some (small) tools, and of course the miniature set of golf clubs for pitch and putt. Since it's not a necessity, a light tint, or that louver thing I like might deter criminals riding bicycles.

Because I am among free thinkers, I will disclose that I plan to fabricate a dog crate for the rear hatch and compartment. I have a pickup and delivery service for elite pooches for my wife's grooming service and boarding kennel. The louvered rear deck would add the appearance of a window. The pooches won't mind if there is no window. I can visualize a paint job with feet on the fenders, a tongue hanging from the front grill with some exposed teeth, nostrils below the lights and eyebrows over the lights, etc. I will have a doggy delivery car. I like it.

do you specialize in chinchillas?

The Barking Horn <---link

<Edit> I forgot to add what it sounds like "Barking horn Barking"

The primary reason to learn a foreign language is that the native English speakers don't speak, write, or understand English. I am confabulated in three languages so I have no trouble remaining confused .However, I like the idea of having a horn that sounds like a barking dog.

Fleet sales ought to jump on this. A heated rear compartment for pizza delivery or a cooled rear compartment for sandwiches, flowers, cold buffet items or whatever. I wonder what would happen to mileage with the practical trunk design coupled with a body that did not taper as much. In town mileage would probably remain nearly the same and that is probably the kind of driving that most delivery vehicles do.

I like the Elio as is. I hope it's locked in and too late for changes. Perhaps a Deliverator model down the road after the first model year finally rolls out.
I don't want them to change anything that will slow down delivery of #6109! I meant that after the E series has done its work Elio ought to cobble together a deliverator ( I like that) out of the pieces left over from the testing and see what effect it has on mileage and handling and get an idea of how much weight it can carry. Rear seat and windows and seat belt and air bags gone should provide a little fudge factor for adding a wider higher rear body w/o increasing the weight of the vehicle.
I think that the Elio would make a great ride for an assessor. They need a camera, tape measure, code book, a few forms, a stapler and maybe a pair of mud boots. All would fit into the back of the Elio easily. People get all pissed off about property taxes and it sure would help convince people that the assessors office was economizing in every possible way.

Neat Idea Bob. The engineers have been messing with that type of idea but it takes away from the aero and therefore the mileage. They are still working on it...
