Maybe a "manulipation" of the books, like most Big Businesses do.
With the SEC and other government offices watching what they do? I really doubt he would try anything like that.
He has to keep things squeaking clean so they don't sink on launch. That would be a disaster.

All legislation results from a cost - benefit analysis with different sides having different ideas on both costs and benefits.
Not if they are earmarks. Or other forms of pork. Or emergency stuff like Hurricane Sandy.

And regardless of the result of the cost-benefit analysis, those results are often ignored in favor of political gamesmanship, partisanship, and expediency. That is one of the main reasons why Congress is generally considered by Americans these days to be disgusting - too often there is no connection or little connection between benefits and congressional action. Remember the bridge to nowhere? It's a perfect example.

And Coss, these statements are factually accurate and more sociology than any form of politics.

It's still cost-benefit. But politicians tend to see a benefit in giving away other peoples money which costs them nothing.

There has been a new 1-U posted.

It mostly explains the new Stock option plan. The nice thing about stock options, from an investor standpoint, is that they are worthless unless the price appreciates. From an employee standpoint, they are much less attractive than restricted stock, but are infinitely better than a sharp stick in the eye.

There is also a statement indicating that Paul paid back the two loans (from Elio Motors to Paul) from 2014 and 2015.

There will always exist negativity among people that don't understand the course of Elio Motors and the direction it's going. They said the same thing about Telsa back in 2010 @ $17/share when it went public. For those of you who ordered an Elio or two we thank you in supporting the re

They said the same thing about Telsa back in 2010 @ $17/share when it went public. For those of you who ordered an Elio or two we thank you in supporting the revolution of the product. For those of you who invested enjoy the ride and watch the Elio make history and enjoy the fruits of
your labor.
