I agree a remote start would be nice, i would love to let it warm up 15 minutes in winter and not even worry about minimal fuel consumption i will spend 500$ for his option if available!

I don't know if Elio will have this available in it's first year but aftermarket systems are plentiful. You might find it won't take anywhere near 15 min. A rapid warm up would be a key design feature on a vehicle seeking to get 84mpg.

Not a fan of rapid warm up unless it has block heater, I let my diesel idol 30 minutes or more I live in coldest part of utah where -30 f is common in winter

Most companies will only install them in vehicles with conventional automatics. A block heater will warm the coolant and give you faster heat in the morning. In countries that make idling your car illegal they have things like these http://www.webasto.com/de/maerkte-p...nachruesten/unsere-standheizungen/kleinwagen/

In North Dakota, I put a simple 100W heater in my truck... set it right on the center console. It was so weak that it felt like someone breathing out. But, I didn't have to scrape a window for 2 years. (I parked outside, btw). In addition, I kept the block heater plugged in as well. It was really nice and very simple. I think the heater is a "My Heat" thing. It's 110V and I just ran the cord out the door and plugged in an extension cord. I found that a lot better than running the truck for 30 minutes before going to work. Well, sometimes, I still remotely started the thing but these diesels need a lot of warming up before they like to move!
