This entire forum save for a few exceptions already meets your criteria!
Great!!!! Paul may be was thinking of the young commuters when he started his brain storm, but I can tell you that us old farts need our toys too! Thanks Paul, for what you have created!

I, like many of you am older than I would like to be, but I have to say that I am not getting too old to wait. I would like to see the Elio sooner, but as we have just embarked on a new year, I am thankful that I am still in the hunt. I am still kicking and thinking and doing. The time is going to go by if I am waiting for an Elio whether I want it to or not. I am grateful for the optimistic people on this forum who are sharing the wait, and their stories and part of their life experience that makes them want something as unique as an Elio. The fact that many are over 60 and looking forward to owning their freedom with an Elio is testament to the fact that the earned wisdom of the years and the continued zest for life, confirms that they don't wait. They/you plan for the next adventure in life. If on the sad chance the Elio doesn't materialize, you will not be left without another plan. You will be riding your slingshot, planning another trip in your current ride. Visiting family, new places, or telling stories about the places you have already been. This group is not a group of sit around waiting for something to happen. The stories I have read on this forum are about the kind of people that make things happen. School teachers, Vets, retired corporate execs, college students, commuters, lifetime workers at the plant, fliers, drivers, riders, and dreamers.

Thanks for all the good posts, and even a little grumbling about the pace, but I am looking forward to a good year 2017. I hope you continue to work toward good health, keeping and gathering more good friends, plan for more golf, flying, doing, and living while we wait for the Elio to show up in the driveway. My 59 years have seem to come up on me a lot faster that I thought they would. Here's hoping the wait for the Elio is filled with good things, and when I do get my Rocket Silver manual trans, with skinny tires and a goof ball in the drivers seat with a cheese eating grin, that there will just be more good things to choose from.

Well said!! Thank you!

IMG_1845.PNG For what it is worth. I would love to test drive the Elio! I know that I could do it, because every time I drive lately, everyone that I pass shows me the sign that I am # 1.

My wife of 49 years gives me the same sign quite often along with a smile.
Rick,You must be #1 also! A woman once gave me an O sign, and my wife thought that she was saying that it was O-k. Then I told her that that wasn't what she meant. Ha! We are getting off subject, so I love the elio don't you?
