Or may be you are counting in Dog years. In that case you would be about 16 , depending on what month you were born. I would love to see an elf driving a elio!!!!! Wouldn't We all?

I, like many of you am older than I would like to be, but I have to say that I am not getting too old to wait. I would like to see the Elio sooner, but as we have just embarked on a new year, I am thankful that I am still in the hunt. I am still kicking and thinking and doing. The time is going to go by if I am waiting for an Elio whether I want it to or not. I am grateful for the optimistic people on this forum who are sharing the wait, and their stories and part of their life experience that makes them want something as unique as an Elio. The fact that many are over 60 and looking forward to owning their freedom with an Elio is testament to the fact that the earned wisdom of the years and the continued zest for life, confirms that they don't wait. They/you plan for the next adventure in life. If on the sad chance the Elio doesn't materialize, you will not be left without another plan. You will be riding your slingshot, planning another trip in your current ride. Visiting family, new places, or telling stories about the places you have already been. This group is not a group of sit around waiting for something to happen. The stories I have read on this forum are about the kind of people that make things happen. School teachers, Vets, retired corporate execs, college students, commuters, lifetime workers at the plant, fliers, drivers, riders, and dreamers.

Thanks for all the good posts, and even a little grumbling about the pace, but I am looking forward to a good year 2017. I hope you continue to work toward good health, keeping and gathering more good friends, plan for more golf, flying, doing, and living while we wait for the Elio to show up in the driveway. My 59 years have seem to come up on me a lot faster that I thought they would. Here's hoping the wait for the Elio is filled with good things, and when I do get my Rocket Silver manual trans, with skinny tires and a goof ball in the drivers seat with a cheese eating grin, that there will just be more good things to choose from.

And post a

And post a pic :)
Still breaking it in. But have put some miles on it. It is awsome. Good looking, sleek, quick, fun in turns. The SLR edition is 31K out the door. I did talk them into throwing in a couple helmets. I think the gas mileage may get better as the engine breaks in, but now the all around mileage id around 28 mpg. It is considered a motorcycle in most ways even though it is also termed an autocycle.

Well said. I am retired military and Houston Fire department. You are right. We don"t just set around. We may eventually do activities in our Elio's. Orange one for me. The waiting is, well waiting. Just the way it is.

Just an opinion.... No matter how old any of us are I don't think we're going to have to wait much longer to find out when and if we're going to get our Elio. I think it all depends on that government loan. If Elio gets it things will move quickly and we'll be getting out cars. But, if they don't get the money, I suspect it will be the end.
We will hope for the best. I really think that Paul is sincere. I hope he makes it
