It's cool we all have the right to voice our opinion. Its FRUSTRATING they keep doing this to us.
By the time this car gets built there will be others out there that surpass it. I am reservation holder 1898 and I don't have much hope for this car. If you remember Corbin Motors trying to make the Merlin three-wheel car I was a reservation holder with them also to make the story short I lost my thousand dollar reservation. go look up Corbin Motors Merlin. So I stop holding my breath a long time ago I was starting to pass out. Not bashing the car I'd love to see it. They just might have too many chiefs and not enough Indians. you may have better luck in Reno. Not here to argue with anyone....
It's been 1156 days, 2 hours, 54 minutes and 12 seconds for me, and I'm not even worried, you did read the agreement before you parted with your money right?

If each Elio of the 65K reservation holders puts in an additional $2.5 million, we are go for launch! It's doable right? Naysayers beware, we are united because we just want it to be true!
Wait a minute... That equals 162.5 Billion dollars. Is this another one of those forward thinking statements? :spy:

Carry the one... Bad Math! So, it's more like $3.4K for each. Who's with me? If you fund it, we will build it! Paul is all in! He's already stated that if this doesn't fly, he'll be working at McDonalds. This despite his 250K salary since 2009 per year, for a company that hasn't produced $1 in revenue. Play it forward... What did PT Barnum say???

One thing that does worry me is this. I haven't really heard anything other than they have an old GM truck plant when it comes to the manufacturing of this car. This was a truck manufacturing plant, the equipment was set up and sized to do trucks, not Elios. That will require a pretty good amount of money to retool the plant and get it set up. With the lead time right now for most tooling for the automotive industries, there's a pretty good lead time because every place I know has been working at full tilt for the last two years. Since Elio is not like GM where they have a fully staffed manufacturing engineering department in Michigan that takes care of all of their North American plants, Elio will need to hire lots of people to get this plant outfitted and fully functional.

What I'm trying to say is that it looks like they are using a straight line timeline where everything is a step at a time. Not 5 things at once. If Elio gets this car done in a month and it's ready to be built, do they have the money to actually build it? They need to start interviewing people and start paying them money to do everything from janitorial duties all the way up to the managers. You have to pay them before you actually start making the product. Plus, you have to train them, thus pay the people who are training them. You can't ask workers to start working for nothing and then they will get paid down the road. Even hiring 1500 people will take you at least 3 months and you have to pay the people doing the hiring.

Other than the few vague videos and pics of the plant (which shows a plant that is lacking lots of equipment and tooling) I have not heard must about this next step in their endeavor. I do know that my customer down in the area was mistaken about the hiring and that it was Hyundai. He hasn't heard one thing from any businesses or people of any activity whatsoever going on in the plant for Elio but has for Hyundai.

Hence the six month stated SEC document lead time. They would need to retool the existing line.
