I'll be stretching to drive the Solo a 100 miles per week and will always start the day with a full charge for my early morning coffee run.

It would be fun to see an array of Solo's and Elio's parked at the local Diner.
Local diners are perfect place to meet, show and tell stories of their old and new acquisitions! (show offs :D) Can't wait to join fellow SOLO or ELIO owners just kicking back and enjoying a cup/s of coffee or a hearty breakfast!

I won't deal with range anxiety when I get my SOLO. This will be riding with me at all times! :D:D

I wonder how well that would work. I plugged a UPS into one of those one time and it was not happy. Apart from the ground circuit being non-existent, the sine wave out of those used to be pretty terrible. Maybe they have much cleaner output now.

There SHALL be proprietary cruise ins, rallies and poker runs.
Lilly May will become the chairperson of the national organizations for both groups.
And she will organize all events.

A small trailer, with the generator running, could enable you to take long trips. Not sure how big of a generator you would need to power the motor.
Problem. Vehicle automatically "shuts off" when it's charger is plugged in.
So you would have to stop to charge the vehicle anyway.

The same would be true with solar panels. They would only charge the vehicle if and when it's turned off.

I know that with hybrids that's not the case, but Electra Meccanica's CEO sounded like...
It would take major re-engineering to get this vehicle and it's charging system to act that way.
Does anyone know if you have to make sure a hybrid is shut off in order to charge it from a outlet?

My original thinking on this is, if I ever get in a situation that I don't have enough juice on the battery for the trip back home, that's when I stop and park at a gas station, a rest area, etc. and then charge it with the portable generator while enjoying a cup of coffee.
