Gently used electric cars are very inexpensive. In January, I had an agent buy me a 2014 Cadillac ELR at auction in Tulsa, OK. GM made 2900 from 2014-16. This one is 1 of about 600 red ones made. It was just off a 24 month lease with 18000 miles. Had it shipped to my house and it came out to 33% of retail before taxes. It came with 20 months of bumper-bumper, 3.5 years of drivetrain and 5.5 years of battery warranty remaining. It needed a little interior warranty work and the local Cadillac dealer gave me a new CT6 to drive for two days while they did it. The 20" low profile tires were noisy at 20,000 mi so I replaced them. Has 40 mi of electric range then another 300 on generator for long trips. It is a dream to drive with the series 1 Voltec drivetrain. Goes around corners like it is on rails. Super quiet with the new tires.

I still want my Elio as well, but, I am smiling. I will have an even bigger smile when my Elio arrives.

Xcellent score on the caddy, very nice.

And here's my new baby, 2017 Dodge Journey, had 9 miles on it when I got it.
Lists at $31,000 I got it for $22,000 (lost leader to bring people in) and end of year special.
V6, power windows, keyless ignition, keyless locks, and I hope like hell the battery in my remote never goes dead.

Do the doors have key slots where you could pull the emergency key out of the fob and use it? My Bolt has an emergency key built into the fob, but I'll be damned if I can even find the key slot to open the doors if I ever had to.

Are you sure the "key" is for the door? It might just be to lock the glove compartment for valet situations.

The drivers door has a key slot, and it's the only one; not even the rear hatch has a slot.
But I wondered what you do after you get into the car, there's no place to use a key, just a button to push for start.

That's just a key to get you INTO the car if the battery is dead.......after that ????????????

My Volt is the same way. Come to think of it, so is my smart.
