Here’s another thought provoking Patrick Byrne interview...his comments are always so controversial...

Here are comments made to the New York Post on November 15, 2015...

And I quote Mr. Byrne...

“Some companies keep a rainy-day fund. Overstock.com is preparing for the apocalypse.

Saying there’s a “10 to 20 percent chance” of a financial collapse in the next few years, the dot-com’s chief, Patrick Byrne, has stashed away $10 million worth of gold and silver, plus several thousand emergency preparation kits, complete with enough food rations to last his 2,000 employees and their families 30 to 60 days.

“If there’s a financial system meltdown, if the Internet shuts down and credit cards shut down, we can pay people.”

Byrne said the survival stash is tucked away in some of Utah’s legendary storage bunkers like those built into Granite Mountain, which he claims are so secure, they could withstand a nuclear attack.”

Byrne certainly has an interesting perspective on our financial system...LOL

Here’s the whole interview...

Since Byrne had become Ellio’s current benefactor...I would strongly suggest you research Byrne’s business philosophies...

ElioCoin is Byrne’s idea...not Paul’s...

I'm having trouble discerning if you are an Elio supporter, or just a Byrne disliker.

I think the Elio vehicle is a promising concept...

I don’t dislike Byrne... but I do question his current business philosophies...I find him to be highly controversial... and his own best advocate! LOL

At the end of the day...IMHO...Byrne has given Paul unrealistic expectations for the success of a ElioCoin STO offering...

Exactly.....

I’ve had to read a bit about Mr. Byrne as I really didn’t know much about him. To say he’s somewhat of a character is an understatement from what i’ve gathered. He sure sounds like a lightning rod. Not only in the financial world - but in the political arena as well. He’s involved in a number of causes. And folks are divided regarding those causes - and of course divided in the politics. Justified or not - he has a lot of enemies. He obviously has a few around here. We all spend our time as we see fit, I guess....

Hope everyone is having a good Monday-

This guy is unhinged...

If Patrick Byrne is unhinged, than I want to be unhinged. You conflated his obviously incredible aptitude for creating one of the biggest companies in this country with a reasonable concern for a financial meltdown... it apparently happened in 1929 I hear.

I worry about other calamities & apocalyptic events as well...uncontrolled human caused climate change, overdue Yellowstone eruption triggered by the eruption in Hawaii... Just have to admit I MUST be unhinged. Also, in my unhinged state, I bought Keurig & Tesla @ IPO and made a ton of money.
