By the time this thing goes into production, I'll already have my Tesla.
Too bad really. Elio wasn't there when I needed it most.
Interesting thing is that about a month ago, I passed two car carriers full of model 3's and now in our area, they seem to be multiplying like rabbits. I drove one out in the middle of nowhere Ohio and now someone in out neighborhood even has one because I see it pretty often. It seems like Tesla mustt be making them and people are buying them. It's good that they are getting to that point with the car.

The frustrating reality is that if somebody handed Paul Elio a check for $33 million, it would be applied first towards debt and sublease obligations to RACER Trust, CH Capital Lending, Shreveport Business Park, and Stu Lichter individually.

Amassing $33 million doesn't directly correlate to kick-starting the production timeline. That fiscal realization is what has finally tipped the scales on my becoming more pessimistic concerning the fate of the Elio ever existing.

Unfortunately, I also see it fading away..........I'm still waiting but not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel

It sounds like you are not really the one the Elio was meant for if you are choosing the Tesla instead. The Tesla looks like a great car, but it isn't basic transportation or an "and vehicle". The Elio may not have been what you needed anyway. I still hope you get one though as an "and" car to your Tesla.

At this point Elio does not need to be picky about who should buy their cars. I suggest that the Elio is the car everyone must have as opposed to just an optional car to use as a toy.

I wonder what a parking lot,"car carrier", would look like full of ELIO's.

I wonder how Slingshots are delivered? I assume in enclosed trailers, maybe with levels inside to stack them?
Due to that Polaris does not sell 125-250K units like Elio does, they use the low volume method. Just double level enclosed trailer that has a lift gate on the back. It costs more but the Slingshot cost more than what you can buy an Elio for. Since we don't know what Elio charges for shipping, they might use the more expensive method at the end of the day. Who knows since the shipping charges is only an asterisks.

Sounds like you really don't know what you're talking about.
When I ordered the Elio, money was tight and it wasn't going to be an "AND" vehicle, it was going to be my primary transportation and it was EXACTLY what I needed.
The "and" argument was a poor attempt at marketing.

Electrical is taking over faster than most can adjust. The niche for elio is shrinking fast.

I can now afford a Tesla and a place to store and charge it.
