I think you missed two little words in my response. I didn’t say any plan. Or another plan. I said “rock solid” plan. If there’s a plan backed with real horsepower, I won’t be the only one writing another check.
If I came out with Schneider Motors tomorrow and presented a similar Elio design and had thr specs of:
1. Engineered to the highest level
2. Up to 100 MPG
3. Has three airbags and targeted 5 star crash rating
4. Base price of a targeted $5K
5. There will be 200 stores in the US
6. pep Boys will handle all service and warranty
7. Production to begin in 2022
8. Applied for the ATVM loan and it's looking good that I'll get it

Then if I had a similar multi level reservation system similar to Elio. I offer a much better deal than Elio, how much would you give me? Would you question what I'm doing or just give me money because it's even better than Elio?

or

Would you hesitate because you know what's going on with Elio and will want to see how it turns out first?

Define rock solid plan. I thought the Elio Plan outlined to build the 25 Elio engineering vehicles was ROCK SOLID after they received the $13Million of stated funds needed to complete that critical production milestone event. The Reg A+ funding round provided $15million, $2Million more than needed. I recall most or all of that funding went to Paul & Hari’s ESG Engineering Firm. Perhaps it would have been better had Elio Marketing contracted with Roush Engineering? There’s no driveable prototype, no final specs, no motors, no confirmed MPG, no safety/certification testing, no tooled manufacturing plant, no employees, no confirmed MSRP, along with mountains of debt and fines.

Elio Marketing had a highly successful Rock Solid Plan. However, what’s the logic in sending Elio Marketing another penny, unless it’s to pay for your fully assembled Elio, confirmed shipping date by a private shipping company, loaded, on the road, and being shipped directly to your address. I don’t understand the continued trust and support of Elio anything, but find it interesting that some continue to trust.

I cannot dispute many things stated above. But there is more to it than the failures and negatives listed.

Does Rousch (for example) NEED to associate themselves with Elio in any way, shape or form?
If they want nothing to do with The Elio project - wouldn’t they tell Paul to remove them from their lists?
Is the leadership of Rousch just that darn stupid to to even hint that they’ll work with Elio - if they suspected Elio was either a rip off or 100% completely incapable of bringing it to market?

What about the other 63 (most major) companies with their trademarked protected logos on Elio’s suppliers page? Why don’t they have one of their lawyers contact Elio and tell them to remove their logo because they want nothing to do with Elio?

Don’t they all have reputations to protect?

Could it be possibly be - they know a few things that none of us do?

Rousch, Continental, BASF, ASIN, Delphi, and any of the others could issue a press release tomorrow- ending their support/affiliation with Elio if it’s a total lost cause - or if they suspected anything nefarious.

If these companies allow their logos to be displayed on Elio’s site - I still have hope .... as little as it might be.

No.
We don't know that they are aware that Elio is still showing them as a supplier, or whether they have already asked to have their name removed.
Not relevant. They work for cash. If Elio pays them, they do the work. Since Elio has no money, they don't work for them anymore.
Don't understand the question. There is no reason to waste any more time or money with lawyers. At this point, it's just free advertising on a website that essentially has no traffic. Being listed as a supplier for an inactive company poses no real risk to any of them.
Probably, that's why you won't find claims of a relationship with Elio on their websites.
Of course they do.

Interesting questions. I have two for you.
How many references to Elio can you find on the websites of the 64 companies listed?
How many of them claim to be suppliers to or supporters of Elio?

Way back in the day, there were a couple of oddball companies that claimed to have ordered vehicles from Elio. IIRC, one was a dog pooper-scooper company. There was a stereo/security company that was supposed to be building a hi-tech system for Elio, but they apparently went out of business.

As far as your hope, or your money, you are free to spend them anywhere you like.

With today's close at $1.15, Made in the USA may win the pool.

Even though it's a moot point with no realistic path to production, WHAT is all this talk about people being able to cut in line? Isn't there video of Paul Elio somewhere saying that's NOT going to happen no matter what Byrne said? And... I'm 100% positive that the same was said in an email answer to that question posed to EMV by one of our members. ??? Are they going back on their word?

I draw off my past work experiences. Larger corporations most certainly do care how their trademarks are used – and who uses them. They're not going to let anyone imply there's a relationship – if there's not one there. That's a fact.

I'll also draw off my current experiences – the company I work for now, has all kinds of investments, involvements that the public is not aware of. We don't promote most of these investments and partnerships. You sure as heck won't see them on our website. These smaller companies need our stamp – we don't need theirs. But that doesn't mean we don't have interests in smaller companies. You wouldn't know it by looking at our website. So it wouldn't be out of the norm to not see Elio on those suppliers' sites. If Elio starts buying 50,000 engines a year – yeah, you 'might' see a press release then.

By the way, larger companies don't look for free advertising. They don't need it and generally don't want it. They want to have full control of their messaging. That's why they're so protective of their logos (image).

Common sense says nothing is happening for Elio at Roush at this time. Most folks (companies) DO want money in hand. Then again, I've known a few wealthy people do some pretty crazy things with their money and resources. Like a local multi-millionaire that bought and rebuilt full-sized steam locomotives, with cars – with all of the track, including a trestle bridge just to run around his property. 2-3 miles in length. Why? Just because he wanted to and could. For all we know, Jack himself could be putting a Ford engine into an Elio chassis – just because he wants to help and see it happen. I don't know that he is, but you don't know that he's not. ;)

Wow. Elio Kool-Aid is potent stuff.

No one is going to do a press release announcing they are not selling anything to a company that barely exists. Companies like Continental have forgotten about this. The only agreement they made was that if Elio sent them money, they would sell them tires.

I made a similar agreement with Pirelli recently, although in my case I actually purchased 4 tires.

They could announce they have broken ties. They no longer have an agreement. If Elio is nefarious as some claim – looks like a supplier would want to officially distance themselves. No? At least send a cease and desist letter demanding Elio stop using their logos on their website. Wouldn't you think?

Hey... just having fun here.... did Pirelli move their production for you?

From Elio - April 19, 2017: “Continental Tire is currently not making the tire for the Elio in the USA but has agreed to move the manufacturing to the USA for Elio Motors to Sumter, South Carolina. “

The cutting in line came from Patrick Byrne when he initially talked about Elio, and yes, Paul Elio said no, but lets be real. Unless Elio Motors comes up with all the money they need, the first Elio's off the production line for the existing SIL's will not make them any profit. (Ok, with option maybe a little, but that's insignificant.) Money talks. If the big investor wants something special for their investment, like cutting in line, yellow, turbo, their going to get it. Paul will have to make concessions if he want to produce the Elio.

Pat said they were recoding the Eliocoin and that it would be done at the end of the year. Paul did not say that was false. Plus, right after Pat took some Overstock money and bought $2.5M in Elio stock, Paul started hinting about something that was going to reduce the timeline and financial burden. Then in September, Elio announced that they ditched the Elio Engine and going wit an OEM powertrain, thus saving $120M but the 76 weeks is still in tact. It's obvious to me that Pat got Paul to drop the engine and thus that's what happened. Getting people to bump in line would not be out of the cards either. So, all we do is wait until December when the Eliocoin is done and announced.
