BTW, Sondors just sent out a new request for another round of crowdfunding, this time to built the pre-production prototype. Looks like they axed the lower range models and are only planning to offer a 300 mile model for $19,500.

So the price has gone from $10,000 base to $19,500+.
That makes sense. In this day of age, having a 100 mile range for an EV is so 2015. I even think that Solo will have to up their game as for the price, it'll need better range. Technology is accelerating to a point where 100 mile range will be like someone that still has a stack of CD's.

Yeah right! That's a lot of BS- another come-on ploy to get people interested- 300 mile range for only 19.5K???? Only gullible people will believe that, sorry.

Sounds a whole lot like 84MPG for $6,800 ;)

I bet Sondors is going to use the same trick they used with their eBikes. They said they were going to make an eBike for $500, and they did. $500 with $299 shipping.

And since the plan is to make the Model Sondors in China like their bikes, I could see them pulling a $19,500 price with $4,000 shipping or some crap like that. We will see...

Hahaha you're right Maurtis! I fell for that ELIO trap before, never again. Nobody's even sure if EMV can really sell their gen 3 SOLO for 18K....and make money when they go full production a few short months from now.

When is Solo going into full production? I assumed they already were. Please don't tell me that they are doing design changes again. Then when a few show up in a container from China, they will go back and claim that the next shipment is going through Coronavirus decontamination, thus it's experimental and that will take X weeks to confirm if it's a success. We all know it takes 2 weeks to see if you got it, thus round one of decontamination will mean 2 weeks of waiting then that might not be good enough thus another 2 weeks and so on...

I hate to say it, but I think he's cooked. After a year and a half with almost no communication with his fans, reservation holders and the public, now this? I'm not even sure he could get 300 miles worth of current technology batteries under that (albeit beautiful) vehicle's body. The response on the FB group is what you'd expect: amused, dismal and angry.

I do too, they are all on a thumb drive now. I guess they will go to somewhere when I need to pitch a bunch of garbage.
Actually my whole CD collection is on that thumb drive hooked up to my network in my house. So I can access it whenever i want. I love technology.
I hear ya. I do have over 50,000 songs on a portable TB drive as well. Actually two of them. One for backup just in case. Even though I also still have all those mp3 files on CD-ROMs (the first step years ago), I still never want to go through having to copy them onto the portable drives again. Concerning the CV, I've already got some N-95s @ $1.99 ea, and a three-pack of googles for less than $3 at Harbor Freight. They're having a sale on them. Almost everyone online is already price-gouging. N-95s are now going for almost $30 ea quite a few places. And they laughed at the preppers all these years... I've had a few hundred pair of latex gloves for a while. Just sayin'. You never know.
