I have lost all faith in this point of elio being built, I have been on this forum for years and am disappointed in Paul hiding out so long with no exciting news or updates In years. To bad he lied over and over about missed production dates, millions of dollars to his own company Esg engineering aka Paul’s retirement fund. I am sure he will retire rich off the backs of the good working people on this site. Paul elio is shit in my book.

I think that Paul started this venture in good faith but didn't realize how daunting a task it would be. I put down my non-refundable $1000 deposit fully knowing that I was backing the idea rather than a product that met his 4 goals. I would think that I would go into hiding too if things went they way they did for Paul just to avoid the publicity. I never thought that $7300 would be possible for the Elio trike and expected something around the $12,000 mark. At least the two other ventures I backed came to fruition... the reMarkable tablet and F(X)tec Pro 1 smartphone.

I think it would be great if Paul came out and spoke the truth, it may not be what we would like to hear, but I personally would not take 65,000 reservations for a project then go into hiding. The reservation holders, supporters and stock holders DESERVE the true story even if it isn’t pretty, he might gain my respect back even if he admits defeat, or says won’t be able to make it into production, in my book it’s wrong to take 65,000 reservations go on tours all over the country wasting the money, as I have stated this same exact thought 6 years ago on this forum, build it and it will advertise itself. With the expenses he had he should have built a production ready prototype and began building them years ago. SHAME ON YOU PAUL ELIO for hiding like a COWARD, all you did was tour the country and build a few junky prototypes burning through cash INSTEAD of building cars to the people who worked there ass off and sent money for your dream.

I also suspect that at one point Paul started in good faith. As best as I can tell, some time between the P1 and P4, he started believing his own press releases and became totally delusional. I'm not convinced that he is a coward, when there are other, logical explanations explaining his actions.

They realized pretty early on that making a lot of money wasn’t necessarily dependent on making an automobile. The delusion was ours.
Well said. Paul Elio sold us a DREAM, we bought into it knowing the risks outweighs the reward of a 7K 3wheeler . Move on people....or join him drinking pina colada in PR or rum in the Caribbean.

I just noticed your Signature still indicates a FUV reservation #1957. Curious if you still have the reservation or did you get a refund? :)

I kinda lost track now that you reminded me. I know I declined the first time they offered me the chance to be in line with the Evergreen edition FUV and opted instead to be kept on the waiting list. I just checked, I have a $100. reservation and have not cancelled it.
