You guys are weirding me out here. I've scanned the comments after Hog's little dissertation here trying to find someone to say something meaningful and then Jeff jumps in with nothing but complements for Hog's little spiel and then proceeds to ask a question about some suppose incongruity. Man is this weird or what? Maybe this is a brand of Nerdity I've not experience yet.

That is one of the great things about this forum. We are encouraged to learn and grow. I love it! :-) Z

Hi Zelio;
As soon as you derive anything meaningful about the above please get back to me. I'm all ears. LOL I lost the last argument about math trying to explain the area of a circle is pi = r squared. He kept repeating "Everyone knows pie are round,and cornbread are square"

The OP simply asked what was special (magical, I believe the word was), about the number 84.
I really don't know, but a quick search revealed those nuggets of mathematical uniqueness, and I did not include any of the weird stuff about electron shells and stable isotopes...
The point being I guess, why not 84?

My real belief is that 84 = 42 * 2.
See Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe....... simply twice as good as the "Ultimate Answer to the Universe and Everything"...

LOL! I spent my college career telling everyone... "I'm a math major... but I'm NORMAL." I enjoy beer and football, so I may be a techy nerd, but I like myself. :D

Hey, Jeff, as far as math and intelligence I'll give you no contention . But long ago I also made peace with being called a nerd . As for being normal, you'd do well to leave that for others to discern, possibly.
For me personally one of my greatest epiphanies was the discovery that everyone is crazy but me. I've made nothing but progress from there. There is a lot of peace of mind in that discovery too when you think about it. It has also led to me becoming and amateur psychiatrist LMAO. You see I've discovered it is primarily the experts that cause most of the problems so I have learned to stay as an amateur in all my pursuits. I tell all my clients that if they think they need to see a Psychiatrist they had better get their heads examined.

PS in "Catch 22" The guy was declared normal by his doctor and fit for duty because he thought he was crazy. The doctor instructed him that the the insane have no idea they are crazy. LMAO.
