Thats ok. The best way for this to work out is for her to be in office when Elio Motors actually succeeds in bringing hundreds, and eventually thousands, of jobs to the area. Talk about having to eat some crow! :D
I agree on that. She is so sure it is not going to happen. It will be a wonderful gift to her. LOL :-) Z

Hey goofy, remember: I DO have that recipe close at hand for pot roasted Crow. Think I may have an extra black, cast iron pot I could lend to her also!

if Elio had of chosen to locate their factory in our area, I can't help but wonder if they would be able to find hundreds and eventually thousands of competent workers .... be it here or there, I have no doubt that folks from all over are willing to move in to fill the jobs .... that will have to be a boost to the local economy

I could see a ride down to Shreveport next year on the bike to look a round. I have been wanting to make a trip that way. Buried Dad in Gulf Port , well they don't really bury there they put them above ground. Would not be to far out of the way .
Stop in a see if anything is happening at the plant.

there is every chance of her still being in office when em succeeds. only had to read a few paragraphs of her climb up the political ladder to conclude she is a career political hack. maybe she thinks the functional plant may undermine her political ambitions and just wants quick money from selling it. just saying.........

Well things are looking up with todays email from Elio Motors.

Elio Motors takes major step toward producing new vehicle
at massive Shreveport plant

This is excellent news! Paul Elio mentioned this might happen soon in the Town Hall meeting but it is good to see it official.

He also said that during this process other equipment would likely end up being moved to where it will ultimately be needed by Elio Motors as it was more efficient to go ahead and take advantage of the workers and contractors and move as much around as possible all in one go. Hopefully that also happens as that would bring the plant closer to it's final Elio Motors configuration.

From what PE said at the Town Hall this happening was contingent on having buyers lined up for most, if not all, of the equipment. What this tells me is that more funding is soon to be on it's way to Elio Motors!
