On a 15 mile drive from work home last night there were 14 deer, one bear, two elk and a fox on the side of the road. (all alive)........that is normal for up here....
Has anyone ever heard the version of "Born Free" with all the animals chirping, growling, neying and bleeping. screaming and yelling in the background? That's what your daily 15 mile foray is starting to remind me of. Heck just turn your radio off role down the windows and sing "Born Free" at the top of your lungs. LOL

:eek:Watch out for that hot cup of morning coffee at the drive through.
It could end up being a PIC. :(
This brings up an interesting issue about drive-throughs because you will not be able to get close to the window at Arby's/McDonald's/Wendy's etc. and that is gonna make some happy meals less that happy times.

As a resident of tropical Texas, I know nothing of this "snow" you speak of. But, because the fairings articulate with the suspension and turn with the wheels, I'd bet that the effects of snow and slush will be minimal.
:)
Nope, it's gonna be a mess. It's not uncommon for drivers to need to "clear" the wheel wells of almost any car or truck on a regular basis, depending on the time of year, especially when the afternoon sun begins to melt and the evening temperatures return that melted snow to slush and frozen yuck.

If'n I was still living in the Great White North (I grew up in Minnesoat) I'd e removing the full fenders and replacing them with something a little more abbbreviated to allow for something like "self-cleaning" action of bumps and turns, but this is just my speculation, since I now live in Central Kentucky.

over the years I've managed to dodge all but 2 of the kamikaze deer that have crossed my path while driving ..:).. I didn't hit those two, they hit me .... hitting one in an Elio would most certainly test its crumple zones and test its airbag activation system .... over time, I've managed to get off of a motorcycle in every conceivable manner, most of which weren't planned .... getting behind the wheel of an Elio has to be much safer

So now we are talking about hitting deer. 60 mph dead center.
This was a full size Road Glide touring bike. Broke frame in two places among other damage.
Broke my body a bit also.

Spare parts scattered over 150 feet.

Garrison Keillor tells a funny story about some guy finding a deer lying by the side of the road. He sticks it in the rear seat of his car and heads on down the road. Unfortunately, the deer revives and you can imagine the rest. :) :)

Reminds me of a friend that was squirrel hunting. Shot a squirrel ,picked it up and put it in the cargo pocket of his pants. Squirrel came to a few minutes later and tried to make his exit from the pants pocket. This happened in high school over 35 years ago and I can still see the look on his face when he told me about it :) He had to listen to the old joke about "lets eat one now and take one back to the tree" for YEARS afterward.
