Only if you come my house to clean up the mess it would probably make. :p  :) Z
Hey, would I steer you wrong? They puff WAY up but then get back small again. If it were on a plate, it wouldn't make a mess unless it puffed up too big for the microwave. It does it slow enough that you'd be able to stop it. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of marshmallows either but when baked into a Mississippi Mud Pie, or Mississippi Mud Cake - depending on who is doing the telling, they give it that special something that makes the MMP So very, very sinfull!

My Dad had read that you could check by watching your kid eat birthday cake (layered cake). If they ate the icing first, they weren't into delayed gratification very much. If they ate the cake all together, they were able to delay their gratification. I remember he had Mom make a cake and then gave us all a piece. My brother and I would eat the cake out between the icing and then eat the icing last. He just shook his head. :p
That test wouldn't work well on me. It is a rare piece of cake that has an icing I like. Of course now that I have to eat gluten free - cake is not in my vocabulary. Pies I can adjust by simply making them without the crust. I never liked cake enough to be interested in converting a recipe to gluten free ingredients. Well, except for Angel Food or Passover Sponge cakes. They might be worth experimenting with - some day, maybe. :p  :) Z

The only way I used to like marshmallows was if they were cooked over a fire, burned black outside and gooey inside. I'm not sure I could stand the sweetness in any form now. If it isn't 70% or darker chocolate, it is way too sweet to my taste buds. :-) Z
