some of us are old enough to remember the gloom and doom from proponents of the theory that greenhouse gasses were building to where they would block the sun's rays and bring on a new ice age .... when that proved to be bogus, they shifted gears and started streaming warnings of universal destruction from global warming ..... when that proved to be bogus, moved to climate change and spouted the same horrific projections .... naturally, the cure for all of these curses is said to be the same ..... I got news for you, the earth's climate changes .... always has, always will .... I'm glad there are folks who worry about carbon footprints and such .... my belief is, its an agenda from folks who believe in a lifestyle and feel compelled to push it on those who don't

But you still can't mow your lawn with an Elio.

That depends on how well it takes off! I'm thinking I can mow the lawn a full half inch deeper than the base of the root!!

Or! I'll put Wifey in the back and tick her off a bit. While she's chewing me out, she just might get a bit of lawn work done at the same time!!

Unfortunately, we know far less about the people we elect than we do about the Elio. The public knows far more about who is on American Idol, what song is on top of the music chart, or sports stats than they know about the people whom they elect to govern at all levels. I oppose voting pure party line for any party because it facilitates people being lazy and easily manipulated. Unfortunately, most people don't even spend one hour trying to learn about the candidates or issues. It is our freedom loose by ignorance and laziness.

yeah, but what an advantage for those of us NOT too lazy! We get to go to our lazy friends and neighbors and introduce them to the best candidate (read: tell them who to vote for). This increases my voting power exponentially!
of course I kid.. ;)
