Elio Engine Specs Finally Released After Successful Dyno Test!

Elio Motors will be able to communicate a more specific date for the vehicle launch, which is targeted for the first half of 2016. This information came from Elio Motors news letter.

I think once they finish the motor testing and get funding, they could go live easily. Sure, there is a lot of testing they want to do but they don't HAVE to do much at all. They could take the P4 with the rear seat mod they've been talking about to lower it, and the new rear mirrors, and the Lord Elgin dash and incorporate those changes and just start building. I'd rather they do some crash testing so that we can be sure nothing is going to impale the driver... But, there shouldn't be anything else that stops them.

No you are absolutely wrong. Neither you nor I have any rights as stockholders. None. Nada. A reservation is NOT an investment. Did you read the contract? As I noted above, here are your (and my) information rights: 1. they tell you when to pick your options, 2. they tell you when it will be ready for delivery. That's it. Why you would think that you "have a right to know what's going on" is beyond me.

Production was coming in 2014, then in 2015 , and now production is coming in 2016. Its hard to have confidence in an ever moving production date.

Okay, I didn't think I needed to explain myself, but apparently I do. I didn't mean literally that those of us who have put down deposits are shareholders, I know that's not true. What I meant was when a brand new company is in the process of starting up, and over 30K people, who with blind faith have put a deposit on the product that company will be making, don't you think it would be in the best interest of that company to keep these people informed? Whether they are legally obligated to do so is not the point, it should be done in the best interest of the company and it's future customers...

I believe Elio Motors are keeping us inform about what is going on every Friday evening through e-mail, plus other e-mail from time to time that may benefit us. Yes, Paul know about the 38,000 reservation holder are waiting, and the production is coming in 2016. We are all waiting patient, and we have no control over the company. Just hang on and we will be ok, and it will happen soon.

We are waiting patient, yes, but I don't think we will have to wait indefinitely. It will happen one way or another.
