Because no one has ever put "illegal" tint on their car...

I find it funny how some states are 25% and some are 50% max. Anything higher than 30% lets in too much light.

Got a shop nearby in Stillwater that has done my truck and my Camaro, I'll use them again. They do good work or they would have never touched the Camaro..

On my last new civic, I had the tint shop do a thermal tint on windshield, light on front 2 windows, and a little darker for back 2 windows and rear window. After 8 years the interior looked new, and a buddy with a newer car had his back dash faded, headrests faded, etc.... It really does help, and the A/C doesn't have to work as hard. The window vents also help a lot to let the heat out, and doesn't let rain in. Here in Bama at 100 temp. with 95% humidity, you need all the help you can get!

never heard of that
There are a number of sources available on the web, one is here:

With a bit more that 10½ years in the Arizona sun the dash on my 97 T-Bird was nearly like new when I sold it in'10, no fading and no cracks. I have used both the suede and the ultimat from this site, but the mat I used in AZ was made by an west valley Phoenix company and was very muck like the Ultimat from this site. Going to the high end here is very much recommended and well worth the 10-20 bucks difference in fit, finish, looks and functionality.
