I'm shocked! 5 bolt?
Yes, there was a Facebook thread with Paul Elio and a Cooper Tires VP way back in December where they answered a few questions and while they really did not tell us much this was one detail that slipped out along with confirming that the tires would be made in the USA.

- I was reading the LOI signed by Cooper Tire & Elio Motors & it looks like Copper is going to use the newest low resistance tires on the new Elio !

If that holds up, I'll still get 84MPG pulling a Mini-Mate and camping gear.

I agree, I have been 'round here a while but have Never heard that mentioned.
BTW, watch that 'Ole Folks' stuff, as I've got 'bout 3 years on you, I'll only admit to being 'Older' than most.
Z and I just started 'Enjoying Life' sooner than most of ya'll.

I've read that Elio's tires will all be automotive 15's with the rear being slightly wider. One of the things I like about Elio is that most parts will be proven tech and "off the shelf" normal parts. Not many "special made, hard to find" expensive parts. It just goes against the company vision and focus.

Like any other car the Elio tires will need to be rotated in order to get even tire wear. The rear tire being wider and centered should not experience uneven wear with improper inflation being the primary cause of wear. The front tires on the other hand will need to be rotated side to side, sounds simple enough. Unfortunately it's not. Modern radial tires are directional in nature which means once they're run in one direction they should always run in that direction. Most have arrows on the sidewall to assure this. The Elio front tires will need to be removed from the rim, switched side to side, remounted and rebalanced. Gives Pep Boys something to do.
