Granted it won't be there initially, but at 500 cars/day upgrading trailers is going to make sense pretty fast.
Edit: at 500/day and 60 starting markets, that's 8 cars per day per market.
That would solve most of it, based on the geometry in his picture. I was worried they would still be too far in with the wheels sticking out so far, but that probably wouldn't be a problem.
Throwing a couple LEDs into the mirrors at the factory likely wouldn't be expensive at all.
The same could apply to changing lanes in dense traffic, I'm mostly just curious how the triangular geometry might impact daily driving in unforseen ways. Most cars seem to put indicators at the widest points they can for visibility sake. The front lights seem more recessed towards the center of...
I was pondering the geometry of parallel parking the Elio and it occurred to me that signaling to pull into traffic from a parking space may be a little hairy. The rear blinker will be towards the center of the space, potentially concealed by a parked vehicle behind. The front blinker probably...
I didn't control for "changes of guess" and included all guesses made.
The closest without going over was rickb with 33021
The closest overall was kc_cacti with 33250
Honorable mention goes to TKVancil who managed to get the furthest off in both directions :-)
person guess difference...
I wouldn't be surprised..
From the casino's perspective you have a group of people, primarily with excess cash - who were willing to put money down on a car that didn't exist on the chance that it gets made.
Sounds like exactly the sort of folks who they'd want in their casino.
Due to the way the reservations work, they can't give out numbers to anyone that isn't all-in 1k because they're guaranteed to get them before anyone else.
If you had gotten a number back in May, a person buying all-in now at 1k or even 500 would be ahead of you, so they would need a number...
On that note, I'd love if they used a sequential shifter. I imagine that would make the AMT conversion painless too, though I don't know much about them. I've only ever owned automatic cars, my current being a CVT. But motorcycles did made me pretty comfortable with manual.
I read that to mean "Hype sells products" as in "getting people excited and spreading the word sells products", I'm not sure that it was a jab.
He was just emphasizing the importance of getting people excited about the idea, not necessarily trying to sell them on the object.
Exactly, though I'll admit I'm relieved that I won't be at the very top of the list... A few people will get a chance to make that kind of drive first and work any kinks out ;-)
The 'savings' from a roadtrip factory pickup is quickly negated with hotel stays and flights.
Tentative plan for me is 2 intense hops, first to Louisville (12hr) spend a day there, then to Baltimore (9hr).
Shipping may make more sense, especially depending on what time of year my batch gets...
TL;DR: Under the present circumstance, it is unlikely that further investigation would produce sufficient evidence to demonstrate the existence of a safety-related defect in the subject vehicles. Therefore, this investigation is closed based on the evidence available at this time.
