    The Elio Engine

Hey, I did time driving a duece and a half - 0 to 50 measured in minutes. Sixty was just a number on the needle you didn't need. I want fast, but as long as Elio builds it, I'll handle the go fast part myself.

    Somewhat Tough Questions...

I read this thread this evening at work. I meant to eyeball the nozzle before I filled up on the way home. Needless to say, I didn't. Being -10°F with a 20mph wind may have been a factor though.

    Non Elio Days

Well, I could probably leave it run all day on the fuel my commuter car burns going to work!

Is There Any Physical And Substantial Progress Towards Production Of The Elio?

G1, you might consider authoring an Elio book. I'd buy a copy for sure. "Elio Motors - A Modern American Success Story"

I'd ask you to send some here, but you probably would. I'll wait. The snowmobile is ready to go, but no where to ride till we get another 6" or so here.

    Non Elio Days

Update: Still on 1, but could be doing some cold weather testing up here today. It was -15F when I got up this morning, still -8 right now. Below zero temps (lows anyway) are predicted for the next week here. Paul, if you're listening, don't skimp on the heater please!

Outrigger Steering And Brake Line Safety?

And thus the need for satellite radio. I'm in NASCAR radio coverage no-man's land up here, and frequently in "enemy territory" during ball games. I do like some late night AM talk radio on the way home from work, though.

    Jeff Porter's Football Talk

I like to remind my Viking fan friends when they whine about their long line of ineffective QBs, that they had not one but 2 chances at Aaron Rodgers before GB finally took him. Instead they wound up with 2 disappointments in Troy Williamson and Erasmus James. MN is one of the worst drafting...

What Is The Clearance Between The Tires On The Wheel Wells?

Car turd kicking is an art form up here, but enclosed fenders will take that to a whole nother level. Open fenders for me.

Not Ready To Pull The Trigger Just Yet...

I've said it before, I'm not putting money down on something I can't touch, feel, and in the case of the Elio, drive. I have come close to falling off that wagon a time or two though.

    Watch Out! %#@&^& Zoomify Malware!!

I googled it after Wheaters posted, I got it right at their site, www,superantispyware.com I ran a full scan, 40 minutes or so, and only came up with tracking cookies on my machine. Don't know whether that should make me happy that I don't have bad stuff, or sad that it didn't find any.

    Self Driving Car?

I'd enjoy the technology, as long as it comes with an Off switch for when I want to drive. "HAL" can have those boring freeway rides.

    The Elio Standard Transmission

Um, cause it ain't. You may be thinking of the 4.3/262 truck motor which is more or less 3/4 of a 350, mostly. 231/3.8 is a whole different kettle of fish than the Chev small blocks.
