Hi and welcome from us Texas folks on the forum, Jim.
I am sure glad you gave us the time and hope to hear from you and your years of experience!

Since they are planning on stocking different fenders and such at the distribution centers I can understand why the paint choices are somewhat limited in number. I'm just happy they split from HenryFord's idea of color "choices".

Paul Elio will be featured on CBS network’s new series THE HENRYFORD’S INNOVATION NATION, INNOVATION NATION, a show dedicated to inspiring today’s youth to become visionaries and innovators of our future. Hosted by...
Henryford delt with a lot when he started
Ford ...you may be suprised...
Gm caved in and paid....not henry...
Lost a case....appealed it and won
To the benefit of the working class
May want to read up on him some
Need more Henryfords today..
HenryFord is long gone but Ford Motor Company is still around bearing his legacy. I am sure Paul Elio is in a similar mindset. He wants to keep as much of the company under his ownership. If in 10 years Elio is highly successful it would be throwing away money to sell out so early.
Yes and HenryFord had a lot less government regulation to deal with. I understand that he was to deal with too, it must have been those 5 cent cigars he was smoking.
...and staying focused on the original goal will help the Elio goal come to pass. At this time in history, there are unknown benefits to holding the line when so many are willing to accept upward pressure. HenryFord did it, they did it with the Spirit of St. Louis, and the Elio Team will do it.
An interesting coincidence???????
There is a vision that drove HenryFord far more than just running numbers and making a better car and making a profit. Brilliant as Henry was it was the burning passion he had to provide the dream of an "every man's car" that drove Henry to accomplish an...
This is not only a great way to do business but can inspire other business to do the same. I also believe the quality gained by US workers will pay off in dividends. Elio Motors and staff make please this car.

Everyone knows that HenryFord had a monumental impact on the history and direction of American industry and the rise of the American middle class. His implementation of the assembly...
People keep pointing out the Model T, but neglect to mention that it was available in at least 14 different body styles over it's lifetime, and had something like 5 different design generations.
Those were not all advertised simply as a "Model T", despite the romance that notion seems to...
Good old Henry F loved his Model T and saw no reason to change it either, even after Chevy came along and started to make big inroads in Ford's market share. He was literally forced to add another new model, the "A". It's a rule, if you want to stay on top you have to accept change and in fact...
Well written! You are absolutely right about the advantages of the truck- room, mpg going up, hauling capabilities and some of them look, well, your heart just flutters (in a manly sort of way of course!!). And you are absolutely right about some of the short comings of the Elio. It is no family...
Preston T is the polar opposite of Paul E, in many ways. Of course they are somewhat similar too. Preston created a car that was revolutionary, ahead of it's time. He was willing to take on the big boys of the auto industry, but he lacked in the planning phase of creating his car. Paul's car is...
ross,
I like the way you think, and agree with you. Elio Motors seem to be doing a lot of things right, and appeal to the average Joe. It makes sense for people and the economy.......and they're cute too.
When, not if, Paul Elio puts this into production I have to believe he is going to be compared to HenryFord and Ferdinand Porsche. HenryFord put America on wheels. Until then you had to be rich to afford a 'horseless carriage'. Henry developed the model T and the assembly line and made the...
