I don't know if it's just for Colorado, but new vehicles don't need to be emission test for several years, then it's every two years. Luckily there is no emission testing requirement in Colo Spgs.
If there was an inference made, it was solely in your mind. "If they can attain 258mpg, why is there a problem netting 84??". Read it reeeeeaaaaaaalllllll slow. Please explain, in great detail, how you assume this means anything other than what is written.
"If they can attain 258mpg, why is there a problem netting 84??" Sure doesn't seem like I'm even insinuating anything greater than the 84mpg goal. Maybe you should sound out the words, slowly, so you can comprehend them .... Start with one or two in series, then work your way up to the full...
It's called economics. Running on gasoline, the Fisker nets ~20mpg. The federal grub'ment makes a profit on fuel sales of $0.15 per gallon, individual states usually make more than the feds, Colo makes ~$0.29/gal. They have the potential for a quicker ROI lending money to Fisker than to a...
Since they're offering reservations up to the first year's production max, I'd guess year 2. They'll need increased production to stay afloat for the first few years.
Is there a reason a Canadian can't reserve one? Might be a PIA to import, but any other reason?
Maybe with the rear seat down I could install an analog receiver and turntable in the back and have much better sound quality! If space allowed I could also take one of the Naks!
The 100mpg carb is complete bs.

Do a google search. So many 100mpg/200mpg carbs, so many debunkings.
However, if there were such a carb, it would be in the best interest of the gub'ment to snatch it up. After all, the damn gub'ment makes...
Please quote where I indicated I wished the Elio would attain 'somewhere near' 258mpg. I've never typed anything of the sort; unless you're suggesting 84 is 'somewhere near' 258. I can tell you that an m/z84 is nowhere near an m/z258 when interpreting gc/ms, lc/ms, ms/ms, ms^n, ams, or ICP...
In case you can't read ..... there was no 'comparison' made. I simply asked a question. A concept some are inept to interpret.
From my first post: "If they can attain 258mpg, why is there a problem netting 84??" i.e. if VW can extract 258mpg from a single seat, gasoline powered, 4-wheeled...
Yeah, that's alot of coin for a small gain. Adding all that stern weight is probably detrimental to handling and cockpit/interior space. But, for big water, having triples almost guarantees you'll make it back to the marina, even with multiple failures (assuming you have fuel LOL).
I can't...
For Ray: "I make car parts for the American working man, 'cause that's what I am..." or slightly modified "I make cars for the American working man, 'cause that's what I am ...." Ray Zalinski
I haven't used them for parts, service or tires in years. But they had good cust service when I did buy there. Prob won't use them unless it's a warranty repair.
