I'm not very internet savvy, but...
Good points. I hadn't seen that link before.
But as you said "Now Trump is kind of a wild card since he doesn't seem to be as lock step with politics as a traditional politician". You're correct. He's not.
In my opinion, that is a plus for Elio.
I go back and read VERY OLD posts on this site...
No worries. We are sending several emails in, so far in a short period of time. I think we should send follow up emails every 2-4 weeks. Keep a steady flow going to them. I'm afraid if they just get emails and calls for a week or two, it will just get swept under the rug. Remember, this is the...
Why not an email AND a phone call? Each one of us could count as two contact attempts. Some may luck up and actually get to talk to a real person in the White House (at least that's how it was reported). I hope EKH caught this information. He writes, and makes his points so well. I think I will...
The POTUS has opened a comment line at the White House. I just saw it on the news. They reported worst case you could leave a message, but may actually get to speak with someone at the White House. If enough of us call and make them aware that the Elio is going to be made in the USA using mostly...
Plus, they offer an audio system with an 8'' powered sub. With power windows, locks. and a 300W (just guessing) audio system, 120W might be about right.....considering we'll probably add our own accesories.
I would guess it's just for the tour models since carpet is an option and they are trying to keep the price as low as possible. Logo in the carpet equals more cost. On Elio's site, the carpet option is only $78.00. I plan on getting that for sure, but at that price I don't expect a logo in it.
But then there is always Nikasil coating (not sure if I spelled it correctly). Has been used on 2 stroke alum. cylinders since the 80s that I'm aware of, but on rare occasions some of my riding buddies had to bore, and have their cylinders recoated. 2 strokes don't run as hot as 4 strokes, but...
I read at one time the factory speakers will be 3-1/2'' mounted in the upper dash. At that size, don't expect much audio excellence. You can upgrade the 3-1/2'' from about any online retailer, but maybe some 6'' - 6-1/2'' shallow mount speakers in the door panels will be a better option. I have...
Did the same thing myself, being to mechanical genius I am. But on a funnier note, in high school around here, cruising was VERY popular. So I drained my washer fluid reservoir and filled it with tap water.. Then mounted the nozzle to shoot straight into the car's open window directly next...
The original poster had over 10 "Likes" on this one. I only got one, and this is basically a PG-13 joke.
With all the new members since then, kinda makes me wonder what the earlier forum was like.:D
Found this posted a couple years ago on this thread, but was so funny, I had to re-post it:
Chili cookoff Judging
Note: Please take time to read this slowly. If you pay attention to the
first two judges, the reaction of the third judge is even better.
For those of you who have lived in...
Good question outsydthebox. I think if Elio had 100 vehicles, suppliers would be knocking their door down trying to wrap up as much of their business as possible. At that point, it would be obvious to suppliers that Eilio WILL happen, and be the greatest thing in personal transportation...
A few years ago, when the body panels were going to be some type of composite instead of steel, EM said the painting would be a "dry process".More eco friendly, and economical. Like you, I don't care who provides the paint. IMO, I would like to know what the pot holes and stumbling blocks are...
