interesting interview .... I was interested to see a reaffirmation to using Schaeffler's variable valve lift system .... its been a while since I remember it being mentioned in a Tech Talk and questions have been raised as to the valve system in the motor that is undergoing dyno testing

Yea, but by Tavarish being a little skeptical, at least we can get nuggets like this:

Paul Elio: In all honesty, it's a stretch target. And at full disclosure, we're about $500 over budget today. If we went into production immediately, it would be 81 miles per gallon, and $7300.

Still well within the MPG and MSRP that I would pay, so I'm fine. I'd rather have official quarterly price updates and MPG updates, and time-until-prodcution-starts estimates, though.
