That's the slow brake pedal, use it on snow, just punch it in and the car will slowly and safely come to a stop without losing traction.

Some years ago Ford built a 4 cyl engine with a carbon fiber block. They said one man could pick the engine up. I wonder if down the road for more reductions in weight if we will see them in motorcycle/cars like the ELIO.
