Lets look at the results from the last month............

First we have the engineering team from Altair Engineering producing the latest frontal crash test model.
Significantly more detailed than the previous models.
OK. The seat belt is still shown on the left side instead of the right side, and it doesn't show how the side airbags play into the crash.

And then we have the dyno testing of the new motor. Everyone has been screaming for this.
And what do we hear from some people? But I didn't hear it start and the dyno readings were too tough for us to read.

Now I'm not an automotive engineer, but that looks like some pretty significant stuff to me.

And we shouldn't forget about the folks trying to get the state laws cleaned up to deal with reality.

So all and all, looks like a pretty productive month.

agree .... I believe that a large majority of the folks here are relieved at the releases mentioned but very few are surprised that the motor runs and other engineering is taking place as well .... EM has been reporting for a good while that the motor testing was going well .... most of us believed them, a few didn't

True. I'm almost certain that the final iteration of the Elio is just around the metaphorical corner. They changed it quite a bit for the catch simulation. I imagine they'll tweak it a bit and the build a few... or complete a few...

I agree, but in just over a year he has be employing 1,500 people unless he gets another extension. Weeks/months/years go by quick, so he better keep the ball rolling.

I doubt that there isn't anyone on the planet that realizes that more than Paul and the rest of his team

No offense, but if you don't have a detailed plan of action you can't get a project going.
Someone mentioned Gantt charts and PERT charts in another post.
So just looking at this weeks activities we have three main branches on the PERT chart. And each one of those branches is a separate Gantt chart.
Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there or happening.
When we were complaining about the motor last week did you even think about computer simulations for the crash tests?
Have you thought about the various lines that have to run in the plant to finally put the product together?
Or the co-ordination with other companies?
Relax and be happy you aren't the one who has to make all of the lines come together for the final product. BaldGuy's Elio!
Enjoy.

I am the guy who said I wanted to hear it start. My vehicles spend very little time at 2800 RPM. I will take all the gear heads word that the engine sounds great at that speed. I hear my engine start every time I drive one of my cars so I would like to hear that sound. Not meant as a complaint at all. This has been a great month and I think they will just keep coming. The NY auto show should result in some great publicity. It won't be long until Elios are available for test drives and early in 2016 will come the best month of them all. I get mine. Larryboy

It all seem like a LOT of work to be a "scam"

I'll stay cautiously optimistic.

Guess we all have to figure that in order to get to 2800RPM it had to start :)
