Not 3 wheels, but interesting to compare with Elio. The CCV was Chryslers attempt at a "break all the rules" design for a practical and environmentally friendly "people's car" for emerging markets. When Daimler took over, they decided to can the project. Relative to the CCV, in theory, the Elio has traded two seats and a wheel for better crash protection, shiny paint, more power, and more creature comforts. You can read more about the CCV here http://www.bbc.com/autos/story/20130617-chrysler-ccv-pioneer-in-plastic and here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_CCV .

Reminds me of the 2CV I had when I lived in Spain. It took forever to go anywhere bu it was fun, mine had a 435cc 18hp engine.

I was going to note that very thing. One of my all time favorite cars! Also in one of my favorite chase scenes, James Bond, although which one escapes me just now. I was in France for a summer in college and everyone said that the little Citroen 2CV stood for "deux cheval" or slang for 2 horsepower ( I looked it up and officially in French it is "puissance 2 de cheval"). Probably like us lovingly referring to the VW as the "Bug" or Beetle", not only for it's shape but the power output compared to chrome covered beasts at the time.

I come we have not seen the Tato Nano made in India here yet?

Because it is a car and as such has to meet all the U.S. safety and emissions regulations... From WIKI...
"The second-generation Nano is expected to be sold in the United States by 2015.[18] The original Nano is not street legal in the US, and cannot legally be sold as a grey market import until 2034, when the original 2009 models receive a 25-year exemption from the US Customs and Border Protection.[19] Despite a readily-available dealership network in the US through the Jaguar Land Rover division of Tata, Tata Motors won't use Jaguar Land Rover to sell the Nano.[20]"

Tata Motors also developed an air powered car that was kind of interesting but hasn't yet become available for the public... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compressed_air_car
I'm thinking I'll stick with the Elio! ;)
