Began my journey with Elio Owners in December of 2013. Remember our membership growing by as much as a hundred new members a day. At the beginning, I was a moderator with Zelio and G1 and it was a wild ride and exciting.

Well, three years in and we are still awaiting our Elio. The excitement has died but the enthusiasm is still there. Just invested in the stock program so I'm looking at a long term commitment.

Still have plans to fly down and pick up my Elio from the factory. Got a couple routes mapped out for the return trip. Hope to make arrangements to visit as many of you on the way back and let you all take a spin in my new Elio.

Its been a great experience. Many new friends. Many get togethers with other Ohio enthusiasts. Miss my good friend Zelio.

Looking forward to the future in 2016 and hopefully the likelihood of driving my white Elio with roadster fenders.

I plan on taking bus trip to factory to get my blue one. I plan on making trip myself unless spouse wants to join the trip. If she does, I might have to get used to the back seat(LOL). You have given me some thought about sites to visit on way back to Tulsa. I know of one site that has a submarine that I would like to visit. Thanks Buckeyejake!

FYI When I had spoken to Jerome, they were working on a "package" for fly-ins (only) comp a few days at a local casino, drive from airport, and trip(s) to factory.
That sounds good, but I still don't know if I want to do a 2,600 mile trip on my own, in a new to the market vehicle, and across a couple of mountain passes. If I was about 20 years younger I'd be all over it; but funny how age can pay you back for all those times I did,

Yep, that is my thing. I want to believe we can roll unimpeded right off the factory floor, but part of me says, this is still a new vehicle, and I don't want to be stranded somewhere on the way home from Shreveport going, "WTF?" and any help coming along saying the same thing!

Okay... As an owner of more than 20 new vehicles, I have NEVER been stranded. With material technology where it is, I don't see the Elio leaving anyone stranded in the first several thousand miles...

Bingo! I believe we have a winner. I enjoyed touring the submarine that was in Mobile, AL. We were there when Tulsa was playing in GMAC bowl. We enjoyed Mobile except for downpour in second half(we won). I am a big fan of Das Boot and Run Silent Run Deep.

I'm not so lucky.

Brand new Fiero was the first new vehicle I bought and it blew a fuse link half way through WI in the middle of the night on holiday weekend.

Also rode my first new 1999 Victory on a group ride to the factory and only made it about 1/2 way there when the sprocket came off.

I agree .... that is the prime reason, since we can't have the first one, that we hope there will be 30/40/50/60,000 to roll off the line before ours .. by then we will have so many reports from all across the country that we will know the quality of construction
