I had a 1978 Opel Kidette wagon and that car took more abuse, overloading and neglect than any other car I've ever owned and ran like a champ. What hurt it finally was my neighbor doing forward and reverse burnouts in my front lawn in the rain to chase my dog. (He never got close to the dog). It lasted doing it about a dozen times before he blew the transmission out of it.Bet it'll still be better than the Opel my father had back in the 70's.
Always had a thing for the Opel GT's myself. Might even get one now if I could find one that wasn't a complete rust bucket.
