Do you guys think we are worrying for nothing. Dont you think a company with 40k reservations would get bought out by a Polaris. They believe in 3 wheelers with the Slingshot, and this could be their ecoline. If September comes around and still not enough funding, why wouldnt a company come in, after Elio spent all the R and D already, and get this thing built with a factory already in place. Paul would still run the Elio side, but he might have a boss now. We are just too far along, for it to crash.

I guess you must be worried or you wouldn't ask. Personally, I'm not the least bit worried. I strongly suspect Paul Elio is not going to willingly let his baby go to some outside company and let them be the boss. :-) Z

I don't think Paul Elio is in this for the money. Listening to one of his speeches on the Tube, he was ticked off that the price of gas went up, and Americans were sending all this money overseas. He is concerned about the deficit , and also wants to create American jobs. He also mentioned that some folks approached him , and told him to have it made in China.... more profitable. He was adamently against that. He comes across as a very patriotic guy, success driven. He s probably a millionare a few times over already. This car is his goal, and I believe he will not rest until its a success.

Well said, although I think he is a millionaire only a few times over. I tend to believe this narrative myself from what I have read, and although I had the same concerns as Paul since I was an engineering student, he actually has tried to do something about it and for that I have tremendous respect for him and will root for him to succeed. As disappointed as I would be, even if in the end he can't get this vehicle to market due to outside forces, I feel he should still be held in high regards for getting this far.

Im saying, if he cant get the funding, better to sell than go bk and never see your dream materialize. option 2 would be go public, if they cant get the money.... do you guys really want to stay on this board for the next 3 years waiting for funding. at some point you have to make a decision.

I think last case scenario would be selling a large (49%) portion of the company Worst being selling more than 50%. If that happens then it would be worse for the reservation buyers. Higher price fo sho
