The one color I'm surprised they are not offering is a bright yellow. On small cars especially it makes them easier for other drivers to see.e

Hammered is what you get drinking too muchI would like to see what an old car with low value would look like if it was painted with the Rustoleum textured paint known as Hammered. It goes on with a brush and forms a textured surface that hides imperfections very well.
Or cover it in a patterned upholstery cloth.
The Hammerite is different from what I am talking about. Hammered can be put on with a brush and leave no brush marks. You are right about the music: it was that confrontational in-your-face, complaining, blame everyone else except myself type of music. (I use the term music politely). A cat with its tail caught sounds better.Hammered is what you get drinking too much
The paint you're talking about is Hammerite
Here's a car painted with it (you might want to turn the sound off, the sound track isn't the best

thank you

Had an MG TD (sweet) had the same water in the cap problem, someone clued me into drilling an upward hole (through the cap) which did the trickMy first car was a '58 MG-A, and a worse piece of junk was never built. I used to carry a jar of kerosine in the trunk because every time it rained hard the distributor would get wet and the thing would quit. Only way to quickly dry it out was pour kerosine over it. What should one expect from a car where you open the door by reaching inside and pulling a string! Enough, this is about Elios not British automotive failures.![]()
Did you do the clothespins on the fuel line to stop vapor lock too?Had an MG TD (sweet) had the same water in the cap problem, someone clued me into drilling an upward hole (through the cap) which did the trick
It also had a hole in the (chrome) bumper, to insert the 2 piece crank, to hand start when the battery wouldn't do it!!

I was a Certified British Leyland mechanic in 72-74 and saw some really backyard fixes that actually worked; the clothespins were just one of many.
I was wanting the orange Elio but now I am opening my mind to different colors and possibly adding graphics or custom paint. I wanted the orange for visibility but I am starting to like the black and red. I am thinking of some reflective side graphics in white, gray, or complementing color(s).
