I was previously tempted to add on all kinds of "fun and comfort" sort of options, but now I'm thinking of going with a very basic machine.
This is what is so cool about "Elio my way".
We can get a basic Elio, and add on what we need later. Not much that has to be decided on the initial delivery.
Color, Transmission. Then make it your way later, after you know what else will makeyou happy.
I'm looking at my Elio to replace the Harley I can't ride anymore due to back surgery. And if Elio does not happen I have a reservation on an Arcimoto SRK which really is a motorcycle where I live.I was previously tempted to add on all kinds of "fun and comfort" sort of options, but now I'm thinking of going with a very basic machine. Our daily commuting is all-electric now, so the Elio will mostly be for the semi-rare long-distance trip. I was considering the Elio for it's low gas price to commute, but now I like it more for the fact that, as a "motorcycle", insurance is not mandatory so I will not be paying insurance on a vehicle that is only driven once or twice a month. And it will be very cheap to run for those cross-state trips!
It really is an excellent "and" car![]()
I had to do a double take on that one, motorcycle insurance not required?! Sure enough after I Googled, FL, MT, and WA don't require it.I was previously tempted to add on all kinds of "fun and comfort" sort of options, but now I'm thinking of going with a very basic machine. My question is, if the vehicle is financed, are you required to have it covered based on the loan?
Reading the article the frame sounds just like a lotus or a Fiero frame. And that's where the Fiero became the FIREro the gas tank was in the center between the seats. And the Lotus built the Esprit or the Elan with that same type of chassis I don't recall which one.well, with of without the insurance, it's nice to know that having it, they would cover you from that uninsured motorist. but, for something a little different, how about what honda has filed patents for.
