Corbin Motors Merlin

Corbin Motors had a three wheel car called the Merlin. It was really neat looking, IMO. It is a shame nothing came of it. Three Wheelers.

Cool little concept. I've followed many over the past 7 years and all have turned to vaporware except for the Elio. Finally an affordable fun ride.

I am hoping someone will see, realize it is cool and make them. I agree with the Elio statement. It seems Elio will go a lot farther than the Merlin.

BACK 15 YEARS AGO AT CORBINMOTORS, WHEN THEY DECIDED TO EXPAND RIGHT INTO THE "MERLIN" ..

A GENTLEMAN FROM CALIFORNIA, RON HUCH, HAD OWNERSHIP OF SOME ENGINE TECHNOLOGY, THAT CORBIN (APPARENTLY) TRADED CORBINMOTORS STOCK .

THERE WAS NEVER A REAL OPERATING ENGINE, JUST A ROTATING MODEL ON A STAND.

eventually 10 Harley Davidson Engines were mated to VW Transmission BUT

the coupling failed on every vehicle, all 10 of them were junk

I really wanted a corbin Merlin. That and the sparrow are what got me interested in the 3-wheel car in the first place. Too bad that never materialized. But then again, if I had purchased one of those, I probably wouldn't be in the market for an Elio!
