The Noble 100 is so damn “retro cool“...

Here’s a link to their business plan...

They’re currently asking for deposits...you can even buy a T-shirt...sounds remotely familiar!! LOL

But seriously...I hope they make it to limited production...

I’d buy one if they ever became available in the states...would make a very entertaining Sunday cruiser...

The whole thing about startups in the automotive sector, is that there is no way to launch a new vehicle and expect to scale up and become profitable without considerable outside help. Elon Musk started out with companies like Daimler, Honda and Toyota taking shares in Tesla. They withdrew (partially) after its IPO to cash in. I can remember that Musk lost approx. $200K on every $100K costing roadster it sold. The only other way is by being a boutique car builder, like Pagani is. The good thing is that endorsement needn't come from a car brand.

    How is Sondor doing?

Well, let's see. I ;just got an email of total double talk that amounted to absolutely nothing from them. Here it is:

"I write with a huge thank you to customers, investors, and everyone who has believed in us. We get up every day and move this project along to make good on that belief.

“Storm, any more news on the SONDORS EV?” If there’s been a question asked more than this, I’m not sure what it would be.

Every day at SONDORS I’m looking to the future, but without losing sight of the past. I work from a set of enduring principles that define the past and that without them the future doesn’t look too bright.

What are these enduring principles you may ask? That’s a very good question.

Everything at SONDORS has been like a movie. The three crucial parts of a movie are the theme, character, and plot also help tell the story of SONDORS.

One film that comes to mind is Back to the Future (figuratively at least that is). The same “movie theme” frames how I can answer the questions.

Our Theme: Obsession with Customer Desires

This is how it’s been from the beginning. Failing to be obsessed by the customers wants, needs, and desires is a sure-fire way to a path of destruction.

Take for example the price of the SONDORS EV. What started as a $10,000 EV has now been increased, and increased purely from customer obsession.

Why? Because of overwhelming requests from customers for a longer-range battery.

Through listening to these requests, we didn’t worry about the price increase. We only worried about what the customer wanted. Because in the end, this is always what it goes back to.

    The Main Character: Our Product

Funny enough, I’ve seen time and time again many companies stray from obsession with the main character. They fail to connect the truth that product obsession is a form of customer obsession. You see, being obsessed with the product is what created the ambition in the SONDORS team.

We obsess over the design. We obsess over the performance. And obsession over even seemingly small details makes a huge difference in the end, that gives us a character interesting and even beloved. This obsession is what gave us such ambition to jump into this very competitive market in the first place. And it’s what drives us into the future.

    The Plot: Delivery Obsession

    *Cue the skeptics*

Skeptics popped up the moment we started crowdfunding the SONDORS Electric Bikes, and rightfully so. But in the end, we delivered, and we continue to do so five years later.

I don’t fear skeptics. They will always be there. Actually I’m quite glad they exist. Our obsession to deliver is made stronger with each doubter.

Remember: We deliver when everything is truly ready.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned from past ventures, it’s this: You must hold back sometimes in order to achieve sustainable success in the future.

Again, a huge thank you to each and every customer, investor and all who have believed in us from the past and continues to believe in us heading into the future.

Yours, in the future of transportation,"

Cool. Malcolm Bricklin has led an interesting life, but this product's heyday was 2 years ago, and nothing happened. If it were real, it would appeal to me far more than the Arcimoto or Solo. Not enough to buy, but the concept was/is cool.

Figured I would ask them if there would be a dealer in my area (Dayton Ohio). Their response:

Thank you for your inquiry concerning our Bricklin 3EV.
We are in the process of assembling our preproduction vehicles, and will keep you advised when completed, as well as availability at a dealer in your area.

    Sincerely,
