I wonder if the Adesa Transport in this link is the one they are talking about
Question is; when I talked to Neil with the tour group he said they the "company that is handling the retail centers and marshalling centers is an established company that has their own transport group".
So the Adesa you found is trucking, but I don't see where they have the back end to handle the retail part.
Did you look at the two maps I posted? They are almost identical for having centers for handling the marshalling centers.

Perhaps it's time to contact EM and ask them; anybody?

Are we talking about hauling to the retail centers, or operating the retail centers? However I think operating the retail centers would be fairly easy.

If they are a trucking company, they need to hire people other than truckers to run the retail centers. People who look good and smell good.

yep, I did look at the links you posted .... I wonder if the Adesa company that runs the auto auctions is related to the Adesa company that has vehicle transporters ??
It very well could be; from the looks of the one I posted they have a number of "Sub" companies that operate on their own, but they are part of the "mothership".

if so, that would position them to be in a pretty good position to handle both transportation and the centers .... it would also be another example of what appears to be a major company that EM is dealing with

I suspect these major companies have a better idea of how solid Elio Motors is, than we do. It looks like they have enough confidence to invest a lot of money into this partnership with Elio Motors.

I am not business savvy. That is why I put more faith in the actions of these companies that are business savvy, than I put faith in my own ability to understand business financial statements.

If this Adesa, Inc is indeed the shipper of Elios (and maybe running the distribution centers), it's another example of how savvy EM is at subcontracting work. They're going to have a very, very lean organization, with little in-house except the actual manufacturing, and pretty much everything else outsourced. Of course, there's always the case to be made that outsourcing can actually increase costs and lacks loyalty, but EM has certainly been adept at getting it to work for them so far. Just think about Tom Sawyer and how he got his fence painted ... PE = Tom Sawyer that way.

Did anyone see, in their research, if this Company, whatever the spelling,-own a fleet of their OWN trucks? Ya know like Yellow, Walmart, Costco etc. They will need many to fulfill the expectations of the quantities to be delivered. "We" did, awhile back discuss how many Es could be "positioned" on a railcar, don't recall how many they could put on a transporter or semi. I guess once in place there will be Lots-o- truck(s) traveling from the factory to each staging area, and another fleet from disturbation centers to the stores, each making round trips (but only carrying vehicles one way??-think not)? One unit sale at a store for next day delivery?- think not. Have a loop to a bunch of stores on one run?It seems to me, with no knowledge except transporting my private vehicles, at which they give a 10-17 day window trans-continental as they pick-up/drop-off as they go. It's not like they pick up 8 cars in Florida and drive them all to Seattle (which I thought thay's how it happened)., hey but that's just me.
I had researched Transporters "approved" by EBay, which turned out to also be brokers.
Wow there's a lot to plan. Whew!
Aside from a new vehicle, they will need to be delivered in a new and innovative manner.
Car dealers can "swap" with other local dealers, not available w/Elio-Thinking the Distribution sites will need 100's of units in place 1/2 auto 1/2 stick, and colors to match- 14 different base models. x 50? 100? sets on hand.

Elio Motors has designed it such that all the people in the retail centers do, is explain things to people. They do not make any sales. It has been explained that when people want to purchase a vehicle at the retail center, they are escorted to some computers and they complete the sale there. The retail store personnel are not involved with the sale. The price is set by Elio Motors. There is no particular still needed by the retail personnel.T

The store is just a hollow display room with a computer line running to it. This can be set up anywhere.

The real heart of the business is in Shreveport.

I think there will be, when in place, the opportunity to test drive 'em at the "stores"
