Meet the E1c
November 18, 2016

Happy Friday Elio’ers! We are T minus 6 days until, in our humble opinion, one of the best holidays of the year. We’re talking about, of course, Turkey Day (also known as Thanksgiving.) What can beat stuffing, cranberry sauce, succulent turkey, and a full day of football? Not much! Add in a shorter work week for most of us, and you’ve got a winning combination. But, we’re getting ahead of ourselves. In case you missed it, the LA Auto Show and Elio Motors made a winning combo yesterday with the introduction of the E1c.

Yesterday, we introduced one of our engineering vehicles to the public, the E1c, which is only one important step forward on our mission to change transportation. Besides looking fantastic (which it does) the E1c highlights some significant improvements that have been made to the vehicle. Enhancements can be found in its frame, suspension, safety system, and more. Not only that, more than 80 percent of the E1c was assembled with soft tooling. While the prototypes were essentially hand built, the E1c was largely built with manufacturability in mind.

The turnout for the event in Los Angeles was tremendous. More than __ media members were in attendance for the reveal. Both Founder and CEO Paul Elio and Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Andrews addressed the crowd and introduced the E1c. Check out the press conference below:

In this week’s Momentum, we talked about the process of transporting the E1c from our Pilot Operations Center in Livonia, Michigan, to the big show in Los Angeles. In the Momentum, we talked a little bit about the fantastic shots we got along the way. As an American company, we thought that it is only fitting to have the E1c pose in front of some of iconic American landmarks.

Not only that but our team put together a fantastic video that sums up our mission. Taking the leading role in this video is, of course, the E1c.

The series of engineering vehicles is an important step forward from the prototype phase to the production vehicle. While we are excited to highlight the progress that the E1c represents, it is only one of many milestones to come. We work every day to move the project forward, and we will continue to do so. We appreciate your support and for joining us on our journey to change the way Americans think about transportation.

Paul, We get that you love the Elgin dash, but please give it up.
It seems that the majority of buyers prefer the conventional dash and let's face it, you want to sell as many Elios as you can.
