The top is known as a "Bimini". It's a simple roof panel to keep the sun and rain off my head and the wind out of my eyes - more or less.

There is no rear screen and no side windows. You get wet from behind in heavy rain. I have a tonneau for parking, it has a zip fastener from front to rear down the centre so if there's just me in the car I can leave the passenger side closed and the heater then keeps me reasonably warm (I have driven the car in a foot of snow and temperatures well below freezing just for fun; it will go where many four wheel drive vehicles can't get).
Yes, it must the lightness of the Liegh is an asset in snow and ice. I had a old Nissan pickup that could out perform 4 wheeler in mud or snow because it was lighter. Also hilarious that I could drive off with 2000 lbs in the bed that would leave any Ford or Chev quarter ton truck draging its tail and weaving side to side. LOL
