Throwing around all this big $$, is there now real $ to start production, without the Fed loan??
Is there any financial obstacle not to be announcing a WHOLE bunch of good news?

All that's really changed is that 10,000 shares of the million's of shares that are outstanding have been bought & sold by speculators...

This will not affect the current status of the Fed loan in any way...actually the air of speculation might be negative...the debt markets will determine Elio eligibility ...not the equity market...

The Fed's will not base their decision upon huge short term price fluctuations of a Reg A+ offering...

IMO...the current price swings of Elio stock are nothing more than speculators trying to make a quick buck...they speculator's could care less about the fundamentals of the company...

Call any reputable stock broker and ask them if a 500% appreciation in a couple of days is a healthy price move...

IMO...Elio Motors does not have a billion dollar market cap...

3,000 shares a day on the pink sheets is not true price discovery...

Currently a few speculator's are buying & selling a small amount of stock daily...If the daily volume of Elio stock was 50,000 to 100,000 shares...that would paint a different picture...

There are no institutional buyer's for the millions of outstanding shares of Elio...

FYI...a Morgan Stanley study found that the current institutional ownership average among S&P 500 companies is 83 percent of shares outstanding.

The Reg A+ offering was a chance for small investor's who believe in the Elio story to buy a very small percentage of the company...

Elio Motor has not made a standard public offering...their stock has not been unwritten by any major financial institution...and the stock is not listed on a major electronic exchange...

Big price swings that suggest manipulation & speculation will not be a positive factor for Elio's reputation...and will actually make it harder for Elio to secure production funding...

If you can actually find a buyer at $40 to $65 a share...now would probably be a good time to sell...

I agree, there are some real concerns with how the stock ran up like that. There may or may not be institutional buyers looking at Elio, time will tell. I think the stock being where it is tightens their position for the ATVM loan and is in large part why EM was all over the RegA+ and sprinted to get onto OTCQX like they did. In terms of not being listed on a major exchange.... yet, if EM goes into production I see no reason why they would not move up to one of the bigger exchanges especially when they get a positive cash flow. Heck Tesla Motors just can't seem to make a profit, or make enough vehicles, or do anything in the time frame they say, yet the market loves them and keeps rewarding that performance, or lack there of. Now that, to me, smells like manipulation.

Agreed!!

If Elio reaches the production stage...the whole equation will change!

You pose a dilemma. Listen to your advice?...or Listen to Forbes...;)

Actually there's a better way to understand the stock market....

While the simple math of (#shares) * ($/share) does reflect market cap, there likely wouldn't be a buyer for large chunks of stock at these prices. That unfortunately means that the true value of the stock is much less. Consider this: would any of you buy more stock at these prices when there is real risk of dilution? Unlikely. The same holds for investors with deeper pockets.

I'm willing to add to my stake, but not at these prices.
