If I had disposable income, and a convenient outlet, I'd get a Tesla... in a heartbeat.
Other EV's aren't even close.

I was told the roadster was going to be re-released, with the newest technology.
(*drooools*)
It's on the product road map, but all-new Tesla Roadster on tap. It will not be based on the Lotus Elise body as before. Need to get some serious coin flowing first with the Model 3 and Model Y first since a Roadster would be decidely low-volume. Musk actually considered the Roadster a disaster as a product- http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...lders-that-the-tesla-roadster-was-a-disaster/

Did anybody see the video or the live webcast from the investor group thing that they did on Nov 3rd? I wasn't available to watch it live, but I thought that Elio, at the very least, would make it available to view somewhere.
Yes, I attended and asked several questions. See the news section of the forum.

Good article.
It shows the difficulty in making an mostly new car with new technology. Even Elon Musk, with all of his funding and expertise, BARELY made it.
My guess is that a new roadster will be a completely original design with all in-house components.

Other established car companies have tried to make electrical vehicles and failed miserably.

I just received this link from Elio's Facebook page,
They state "The company, which is planning to roll out 100 testing vehicles early next year, is focused on a launch date in the fourth quarter of 2017, reports Engadget" Have they announced launch Q4 of 2017?
I was just reading that article; I love how he plugs the removal of the Elgin; to quote:
"..........makes it easier to see the new traditional dials on the dash and cleaner looking interior."
(Taken from Roberto Baldwin 11-17-16 Engadget report)
