Well, depending upon this week-end and perhaps next week-end in DC, I sure hope to be there as well!

Go get 'em!

Run your 3-tote autonomous. You won't see many machines capable of it. Get recycling containers from the step as soon as you can. Even if you don't use them, depriving the other side limits their maximum score. Our strategy required 4-5 of them for each match.

We've won our first two district events but need to do well at the NE District Championship to get to St. Louis.

So, let me get this straight. Are these robots are completely 'autonomous' [which would be friggin' amazing]? Or remote controlled [equally friggin' amazing considering the operator(s) skill level to maneuver the bots]?

The autonomous period is the first 15 seconds of the match. The remaining 135 seconds is under radio control by a drive team. In the first 15 seconds, on the left side of the field one robot collects 3 yellow totes and stacks them autonomously. During the same 15 seconds, ours reaches over several totes, grabs a recycling can from the center step, adjusts its grip to the bottom of the can, and moves to the center of the field. Then the drive teams take control.

Impressive on both counts! You must be very proud of your team! They'll have a very bright future [e.i. - Boeing's hiring!] ;)
When these kids get through college (ABET accredited preferred), they most certainly will be in high demand...Thanks to people like you and Comp.
