Well, I guess, all these guys would not show up if Elio was dead.

Elio Supplier Meeting
May 4, 2018

Happy Friday Elio’ers! Tomorrow features a beautiful confluence of events: Cinco de Mayo, the Kentucky Derby, and well, Saturday. A combination of fantastic cuisine, the most exciting two minutes in sports, and a day off? Count us in! Even if you’re hard to please, tomorrow has a little bit of everything. With a weekend full of possibility is on the horizon, this week’s Friday Blog will be short, sweet, and to the point.

We’ve said it in the past, but one of the best assets at Elio Motors is our collection of blue-chip supplier partners. Having literally thousands of years of automotive experience come together is an incredible asset. Yesterday, Elio Motors leadership, with a late cameo by the E1C, and key supplier partners were able to have a meeting in Troy, Michigan.

The meeting was designed to keep the team on the same page and set the stage for production. The topics covered included our recent funding announcement, as well as the overall strategy as we move toward our ultimate goal of producing the Elio. After the main topics were covered, an energetic question and answer session took place which left everyone with a good idea of the next steps forward. While Michigan is known for its high energy music, we think that the energy in the room yesterday was palpable. On a project of this size it is critically important to keep a team on the same page, and after yesterday’s meeting, the entire Elio team understands the plan and what will happen along the way.

Before we let you go, we want to let you know that our CEO, Paul Elio, is scheduled to appear on the Lars Larsson show this Tuesday (May 8th) during the 3 PM Eastern segment. Lars has been an Elio follower and supporter for some time now, so we are excited to have he and Paul spend some great time together! Here’s a link to Lars’ website so you’ll know where to tune in:

As always, thanks for your support and have a phenomenal weekend!

It seams like, with Paul doing a radio spot, meetings in Shreveport, fund raising, and other stuff I don't know about, which is a lot!, things might be ramping up! Maybe.

I agree with Johnny, this wouldn't happen if Elio was dead. This many business people would not be inclined to collectively waste their time if they believed that Elio wasn't going to happen. With this many people in the room, some info on the meeting may make it's way out. The only problem is that if something is reported we won't be able to sort out the fact from fiction because we weren't there. The good news is this is forward motion, hopefully progress.

That picture of the supplier meeting in Michigan is probably the single most important piece of inferred good news in three to four years. Of course, without any verbiage or ‘leaked’ specifics, there is unfortunately, no hard news.

Timing, and location, (and just being there) are everything: the timing before the Overstock.com meeting (which might be a slug fest), the unfortunate delay of the Shreveport meeting to after that Overstock meeting (which was a key part of Hari and Paul’s plan), and the fact that probably every automotive parts supplier, and tool and die company, has dozens of manufacturers representative (MR’s who just want to broker a sale) within spitting distance of Troy Michigan have to be considered in this game of image maintenance.
There’s a lot appearing to be happening, for sure!!!

Good positive action is starting which is good for everyone involved to get this vehicle on the road.

Elio managed to get all those suppliers together and we didn't even know about it. That Johnson guy in Shreveport had the wrong date, but it is set for the eleventh. That was found out about just in the past weeks. Lou Larson interview Tuesday, the 8th which is election day (just saying). Paul & the E1c caught working the ropes back in September. I still have 'elio shareholders' written on my calendar for some reason and then something else was announced for the same day. The coins. Yea, it's all coming to a head.

Looking at that picture again. These are not mechanics like the past suppliers meetings photos. These guys are all business men AND WOMEN, I am proud to say. None of them are taking notes (they know everything, lol). Only two guys looks like they might texting on phones. They're all paying attention and they haven't eaten yet but some found the water. Check out the buffet tables ! I bet the mechanics got cheeseburgers. It is all different.

Looks like about 36 people listening to Paul. Looks like maybe four women (11%). Even fewer people of color. A few Asian. Mostly middle or older aged white men. Not a very diverse group. Notice there is no information on paper, or the screen. Obviously there is no hard proof of anything Paul said. (SEC non-disclosure?) For all we know, the meeting wasn't even about the Elio vehicle. Maybe Paul is starting something new. (Like Elon Musk starting a candy company?)

While the above may sound negative, it's not meant to be. If you assume the meeting was about the vehicle, then that is a positive move. The next two weeks should give a clearer indication of if the Elio will be made or not.
