My uncle is in Detroit this week. He happened to go buy where Elios are being slapped together (his words). Anyway he said he drove down an alley close to the workshop and was able to see about 20 different discarded Elio model work ups. He said there were 6 or 7 different versions, one had the fenders connected to the body and looked like an indy car from the 60's. He noticed a bright red one being polished, according to him it looked like it may be a new prototype because they were buffing and waxing it. My uncle also said the place looked like a junk yard in the rear fenced in area .

He said he happened upon the place by accident, also the place looked depressing as the entire area did. I thought they were in Shreveport LA

The manufacturing for the final version will take place in Shreveport, a custom build company is doing the prototypes for them by hand in Detroit.

20 different workups? wow that's wasteful, with CAD there's just no need for all that.

This part of the mission does not call for floors you can eat off of.JMO
