The manufacturing for the final version will take place in Shreveport, a custom build company is doing the prototypes for them by hand in Detroit.

20 different workups? wow that's wasteful, with CAD there's just no need for all that.

Well, it's been a year. and The last I heard any thing about pre production units they said 30!! Now THAT would be wasteful!
and What about "the" engine,, any word on it.
Before any can built orders have to be placed. and some of these things take time,,, GEE Whizz I wish we knew!!

Lol, I trip down insanity memory lane reading this thread again.... Gee, I wonder if I was correct in questioning the validity of the original post?

Why take offense?

Do you see how ridiculous your claim is in this day and age? We have to question this just like the sighting of the blue p4/p5 on late night tv that can't be found on youtube or anyone has DVR'd. How does anyone stumble across the prototype builds if it was not a planned trip, and if so how do you not have a phone on you? And if you have a phone, how do you not know how to take a picture with it?

JNR,
I would fall into that category. I don't have a dog collar and leash on me all of the time.
To be more accurate, cell phones don't work in my home so I'm not in the habit of carrying one all of the time.
I carry an old style flip phone in my truck for emergencies. I can drive about a mile away from my house and get reception.
I did get this nifty new thing called a ball point pen last week to replace my sharpened turkey quill.
